Christmas Style with Collectif*

It’s that time of year again when we can add a little festive cheer to our wardrobes. And, with this Collectif Chrissie Jumper, you can do just that.

I’ve been wanting to try out Collectif for such a long time. First appearing on Camden Market, the retro reproduction brand now has three stores and a thriving online presence. The talented creative team design and produce their own beautiful clothing that seamlessly combines the glamour of the 1940s and 1950s with modern-day trends and needs.

As soon as I laid eyes on this vibrant knit, I completely fell in love. I don’t know about you but the bright green and red stripes remind me of colourful candy canes, or perhaps something Santa’s elves would wear whilst working away in their North Pole workshop.

What I love most about the Chrissie Jumper is that whilst the top isn’t super thick like other winter wears, it is just the right material for layering up on chillier days. It’s 100% cotton so you can keep snug without feeling too hot when rushing about for your last-minute Christmas bits. Meanwhile, the elbow length sleeves allow you to stay toasty indoors.

I paired this with a plain black skirt and some chunky boots, which has basically been my staple outfit throughout the whole season for both work and play. On this particular day, I was out shopping for Christmas decorations for my new house and wearing it really got me in the festive spirit.

Overall, I think the Chrissie Jumper is a timeless piece that I will be able to wear winter-after-winter. And, that’s what I love about this style of clothing. You can bring it out of your wardrobe every year and it never seems to date, despite the style having roots in the mid-twentieth-century.

You can check out Collectif and their whole range of stunning clothing here.

I did receive this jumper for free from the brand but all opinions are my own, please read my disclaimer for more information.
